So, as I was chatting away last night with someone about my quitting smoking, they suggested that I start a blog.  So, I thought, why not?
So, what was my motivation?  It was entirely financial.  I was sick and tired of living paycheque to paycheque, not having any funds in reserve for "rainy days" and yet running daily to the store to lay down over ten dollars on cigarettes and junk food.  So, I joined the "Butt Out" program at work.  I also opted for cessation medication to help.
Well 25 October was my "Quit Day".  So at midnight that night I had my last cigarette.  It was less than satisfying, as my medication was already starting to take effect.
As I type this, it is the 20th of November, 26 days complete!  I feel like a million bucks!  I do admit that I miss my smoke breaks at work, but they are for the social aspect only.  So, I now go for walks, and when I hit the stairs, I do them two at a time.  And I feel great when I reach the top!
So, there you have it.  My first ever web log.  I hope to have more stuff to put up later.
